Bellevue Schools Foundation Inspiration & Incubation (i2) Grants are available to educators and students in the Bellevue School District (BSD). The purpose of i2 Grants is to fund inspiring projects that involve multiple schools, pilot new curriculum or instruction, engage students in critical issues, involve youth in service of other students/schools, or build school communities and partnerships.
FAQ’s
Q: How are i2 Grants different from Bellevue Schools Foundation’s Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grants? Which should I apply for?
A: Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grants are open to classroom teachers, school staff, and, in some cases, students. These competitive grants are for the arts, STEM and curriculum enrichment, innovative initiatives, field trips, etc. for amounts less than $1,500. Please refer to the Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grant guidelines. i2 Grants are for special projects such as curriculum pilot projects or multi-school projects and are for amounts more than $1,500. There will be significantly more Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grants awarded than i2 Grants.
Q: My classroom/grade would like to have a special field trip that will cost more than $1,500. Can I apply for an i2 Grant?
A: The i2 program is not intended to fund larger classroom enrichment projects. The i2 grants will be selectively awarded for curriculum pilot projects, new initiatives, or multi-school projects.
Q: Can I apply to both i2 Grants and Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grants?
A: No. You must choose the grants program that best fits your planned project. Please contact the Bellevue Schools Foundation for help at 425.456.4199.
